What is Comet Cache?

Comet Cache is a WordPress plugin that helps websites load faster by leveraging browser caching and storing cached content for quick retrieval on subsequent page views based on the time to live (TTL). The plugin is designed to work with a CDN, but can be set up without one as well.

Comet Cache uses advanced techniques such as unique file hashing, which allows it to identify when a user's web browser has already served an image or other asset from the cache, instead of retrieving it from the original source again. Comet Cache also supports HTTP compression using Gzip and Deflate, both at the server and client-side level. This reduces the size of responses and therefore, speeds up content delivery by reducing transfer time. Comet Cache also allows for browser caching policies to be set on a per-user basis.
