MapSVG

A location-aware mapping plugin for WordPress. Create interactive, zoomable, and draggable SVG maps with markers that update when you move the map.

Introduction

The MapSVG WordPress Plugin is a plugin to display and embed SVG maps on WordPress. It allows you to upload geotagged SVG maps to your WordPress site and use them as image galleries or easily embed them into blog posts.

The main benefit is the ability to use SVG maps as image galleries, so you can show many locations on each map without having lots of images. You also have the ability to embed the maps into blog posts (similar to Google Maps). This allows people who are reading your posts to see an interactive map that relates to what they are reading about.

The plugin is aimed at people who want to display SVG maps on their WordPress site, but don't know much about the technicalities of doing so. It's also aimed at theme authors who want to make themes that allow users to easily upload SVG maps and use them as image galleries or embed them into blog posts.

This plugin was developed by Roman Stepanov and Vyacheslav Oleinik.
