WordPress MicroPayments is a plugin that lets you create a WordPress wallet for different purposes, such as virtual currency, points system, rewards and loyalty programs. You can use the wallet with WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads to buy or sell points with credit cards or exchange them for products. You can also access the wallet with shortcodes and API.

WordPress MicroPayments lets you set up your own online payment system with any digital currency. You can use MicroPayment or other virtual currencies to run your own rewards or loyalty program on your site. You can also enable users to earn, spend, and trade points online with real or virtual money, and even group microtransactions into one payment for easier online shopping.

This plugin also lets your users buy points with real money and cash them out later. It works with Easy Digital Downloads and WooCommerce, and supports PayPal and Stripe. The code is open source and has API and Hooks for developers to add point features to their plugins or apps.

Features & Functionality

  • Digital Wallet - Manage virtual wallets of your website users. Admin can increase or decrease virtual currency in wallets. Use API or shortcode to also increase or decrease points in wallets.
  • Wallets Per User - Create any number of wallets for each user.
  • Wallet Transactions - Increase or decrease currency units in a wallet. This can be done manually for each wallet with a note for each transaction or by uploading a CSV file with all wallets and amount to be paid or charged.
  • Points Exchange - Let users exchange points with other members of your site by entering their username and writing a comment.
  • Wallets for Guests - Make wallets for non-registered users.
  • Wallet Names - Use easy to remember names for wallets instead of long and hard Wallet IDs.
  • External Wallet Control with API - Manage MicroPayment wallets made by external apps. Needs the MicroPayments External API Add-on.
  • Points to Money - Convert virtual currency to real money using PayPal or Stripe payout. Admin can set the conversion rate. Money will be sent to user from admin defined account in PayPal or Stripe.
  • Tip Points - Let users send a points tip to other wallets.
  • Points Control - Administrators have full view and control over all user balances and log entries. Admin can add or remove points from any user, any time.
  • Points Exchange - Transfer points between users of your website or community by giving their username and adding a comment.
  • Points to Discounts - Convert virtual currency to an EDD or WooCommerce discount code to use during checkout. The best way to reward site interactions.
  • Decimal Support - Use integers (e.g. 2) or decimals and milesimals (e.g. 2.56).
  • EDD, WooCommerce and PayPal Integration - Users can buy products using your virtual currency and their wallet. The MicroPayment can also show up as a checkout payment gateway so you can be paid at checkout using virtual currency.
  • Questions and Answers Forum - Enjoy a mobile-responsive discussion forum where members can post questions, answers, and comments, with payment support.
