Meta Box is a WordPress plugin that allows developers to add meta boxes, custom fields on posts and pages. The plugin uses the WordPress API for registering and displaying the fields where needed. It does not modify default WordPress templates in any way but instead creates its own layout to display meta boxes as close as possible to their location within a page's content.
